Can I tow my car?

As long as its not an automatic or permanent 4WD you

should be all fine. If its got an electronic handbrake then that can be a problem. Please seek advice from the manufacturer.

Which system do I need?

You can choose from the Braked Over Run system or the electronic BrakeBuddy system. Both will operate your brakes to over the governed 50% efficiency required.

How heavy is it?

Our A-Frame is around 20kg.

What about the lights?

99% of vehicles can have the wiring integrated into the car. So your car does not need a trailer board or anything other than a copy of your RV number plate (which we’ll provide).

How does the steering work?

Quite simply, it follows as a shopping trolley should do. Just make sure the steering lock is off.

Is it legal?

Of course! The Department for Transport states that “when an A-frame is attached to a vehicle (e.g. a car) and towed by a motor vehicle (a motorhome) we believe the A-frame and car become a single unit and as such are classified in legislation as a trailer”.

How long does it take?

It can be done in the day.
