Motorhome Towbars

All of our motorhome towbars are custom made to fit your motorhome or RV perfectly, with a wide range of styles and colours for you to pick from.
A motorhome tow-bar is ideal for towing a trailer or for using the ScootRack and has the added advantage of acting as a secondary bumper, protecting your rear panels.

We have listed below, the answers to some of the questions we're asked most frequently about motor-home tow bars:
What will my motorhome tow-bar be made from?
Your towbar will built and wired in our workshops by our highly skilled team using UK-sourced, high quality, BS steel.
How long does it take you to fit a towbar and how long is your waiting list for having it fitted?
As our work is so seasonal, the waiting list varies with the time of year. Although the actual fitting of the bar takes 5 – 7 hours, the booking in time ranges from 7 days in winter right up to 6 weeks in the summer.
How easy is it to remove the towbar once fitted?
All of our towbars are bolted on and we do not condone welding a towbar to a motor home. The bars are approved by the manufacturer and we also have several contracts with large main agents. Although the bar can be removed from the vehicle, we don’t guarantee it will fit another. Because motor homes are not built on a production line, the chassis and extensions are only built to a 2” threshold, we have to build the bar to suit the van.
Can you colour code my towbar?
We try not to do colour-coded bars, but have found that 99% of motorhomes stick to a strict silver, black, white, dark grey or light grey colour scheme. We can offer you a colour coding service, but we would need the vehicle overnight.

Do you offer spray guards?
We do offer a product called the Splash Stop as an optional extra. These do add to the cost of your towbar, but they are the best anti-spray system on the market.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Your towbar will come with a 12 month paint warranty and a life time guarantee.
Can I fit a motorhome towbar myself?
Unfortunately, we can not offer a supply only towbar for a Motorhome.

Does EC Type approval apply to motorhomes?
Currently, EC Type approval is not in force on motorhome or RV towbars. However, we work to all EC 94/20 standards and our towbars leave the workshop with a weight stamp.
