You've been looking forward to your holiday in sunnier climes for ages and yet when you get there, you realise just how hot the nights can be. With the kids complaining that they can't sleep, an over-warm motorhome can be a very unpleasant place to be.
Enter the NiteCool RCC-100 from Webasto. The fresh air cooling system can be mounted on pretty much any vehicle and fits all standard skylights. With a height of just 125mm, the NiteCool RCC-100 is almost invisible from the ground and adds negligible drag to your motorhome.
Your engine doesn't even need to be running for the system to work. The water for the evaporation process is drawn directly from the vehicle's fresh water tank and a low voltage cut-out function prevents the service battery from being drained.
How the Webasto NiteCool RCC-100 works
When the system is switched on, the fan begins to operate. Fresh air is drawn in from the outside through the evaporation unit and channelled through the air distributor plate in the vehicle.
You can increase or reduce the quantity of fresh air using the fan level control switch. When the cooling function is activated, the water pump at the vehicle water tank feeds fresh water into the pre-cooling chamber of the NiteCool RCC-100 as required.
The fresh air taken in from outside is channelled through the the moistened evaporation unit, cooled and then distributed inside your motorhome through the ventilation outlets.
